Disposal and Environmental Protection

We and/or our suppliers have complied with the reporting obligations to the German Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt).

Batteries

Batteries do not belong in household waste. As a consumer, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can hand in your old batteries at the public collection points in your area or wherever batteries are sold. Of course, you can also send batteries purchased from us back to the following address after use, marked "Used batteries":

The symbols shown on batteries have the following meaning:

• Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead
• Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium
• Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury

The symbol of the crossed-out wheelie bin means that the battery must not be disposed of in household waste.

Electrical and Electronic Equipment

Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste! You must separate waste batteries and waste accumulators from old electrical appliances ("old appliances"), unless they are enclosed by the old appliance. As a consumer, you can hand in old electrical appliances free of charge at a public collection point in your area or, under the conditions below, to us. If you buy a new electrical appliance from us, we will take back a similar old appliance from you free of charge (1:1 take-back). Regardless of whether you buy a new electrical appliance from us, we take back all old appliances smaller than 25 centimeters (0:1 take-back). If you wish to dispose of old appliances with us on which personal data may be stored, you must delete your data from the old appliance. We are not responsible for this. The symbol of the crossed-out wheelie bin means that you must dispose of electrical and electronic equipment separately from household waste.
